My Plus One is an Elephant

 I dreamt I was driving out West.  Warning lights were illuminated on the dashboard of my car and I pulled over to see the issue.  In my dream, I knew a lot about cars and did some tinkering under the hood.  I stopped to talk to an elderly couple who had also pulled over.  The older man joked with me that I was following him which I guess ended up being true because instead of turning right out of the rest area to continue on the drive, we both turned left and went back in the direction that we had both come. At one point the elderly couple pulled off at a scenic overlook and I drove back to the last town I had seen. My car was overheating and I was looking for water. When I got to town, I saw a Rita’s frozen ice stand and I turned off the main road only to realize that they were closed. This is where things get really strange. At this point, I was no longer driving a car but riding an elephant. At the intersection, we could not cross the street and I found a large wedding parade moving through town. We were swept up in the crowd and went with them to a resort that had sort of an oasis theme with a water park. At this point, my elephant became overheated and since the swimming pool add a ramp into the deeper water I rode with him into the pool. We stayed in the pool all night walking around in the different wading areas and going under the waterfalls at the lazy river. I believe we stayed for the entire wedding and then I woke up.

Foundation

I was in a house with a garage underneath that you could access from either the front or the back of the home so it was like the house had an underground drive-thru.  In the garage, there were two black cats the size of martens who were fighting. It made me think of how Merlin saw dragons fighting under the foundation of King Arthur's castle in progress. (I read this in Mary Stewart's Merlin Trilogy) The fighting causes the structure to constantly fall down.  I worried about the house until I woke up.  

I dreampt I invented a filter for car windows that worked as a photo filter.  The filter used a search tool to look for images from the same year the car was made.  If you sat in the car the filter would put a glamor on you to update your appearance to a particular year so your clothes, hair, and makeup were historically accurate. For some reason, I didn't sell the technology but I just applied it to more and more vintage cars that I kept in my driveway. 

No Bite

I dreamt a man was letting his huge dog bark and snap at me.  I was crying and telling the man to get his dog and I sort of fell back into my car and locked the door from there. I drove off and it was suddenly night time and I was driving on a boardwalk.  I kept narrowly missing obstacles and a few I drove through but they had no effect on the car.  I did break off the rear windshield wiper. 

I dreamt I had a wall of climbing plants in my house on the second floor but there were holes in the floor so that the plants could come up from the basement.  I could tell that many of the plants had been cut off just at the baseboard and would probably die soon. 

I dreampt I was at a folk concert where the lead singer did the moonwalk across the stage and then stopped the music so he could tell us a ghost story.  I was in the audience eating a slice of white cheddar cheese. 

I dreamt we lived in the desert and I went outside because a little boy and his dog were on our property. They had come to see a pack of Black Leopards. When I went out I met an African Lion who didn’t bite me but was very aggressive and kept circling me and throwing me again/into the bushes and trees.

I dreamt my grandfather took me to meet André René Roussimoff aka Andre the Giant. *Note that both my grandfather and Andre dead.

I dreamt my sunroof cracked and my car filled with snow

I dreamt I was waiting to pay for a Little Debbie peanut butter cream pie and I was going to use coins because it was only 79 cents.

I was having the wildest dream about someone trapped in a cursed suit of armor. It was scary but very engrossing.

I dreampt I bought a house with a barn in the back and when I went to clean it out I found two vehicles.  I was told I could sell them both and I was very excited about all the money I was going to get. 

I dreamt I bought bourbon with my meal at McDonalds.

I dreamt I was at a dept store and I was trying to find Hanukkah books to read in storytime.

Probably Just Stress

I dreampt I was driving on the freeway and in a city and water was flooding across the road in front of me and behind me.

I dreamt my car died and the bank gave me a busted up station wagon.

I dreamt I woke up and I went into the bathroom and I had a tank top on and on my shoulder there was this large brown crusty almost like a giant wart. I could tell that the mass was moving and I stuck my hand or fingers into the wart and I pulled out what was either a very large mouse or a very small rat.

I dreampt that my neighbor could see into my house.  They were looking in my bedroom window.  When I was dreaming they told me to wake up and see that I was being watched and when I woke up there was a rifle laser light on me.  I could see the light from the gun in the neighbor's window but nothing else.   I don't know how they were able to see me since it was dark and their window seemed to be covered. In the dream I feel asleep and woke up many times know that I was watched.  I don't know why I didn't cover the window or sleep in another room. For some reason I thought it would help if I slept with my back to the window, as if i could not be shot that way.

 I went for a drive in a car called a Oldsmobile Eclipse, it has been a huge car like a Cutlass Supreme but the top had been removed with a chain saw.  We drove around and ate a strangely soft gel candy that other little candies pressed inside. 

I dreampt about a young actress who went to a film set and she fell asleep with her top off and they just kept filming and didn't tell her about when she woke up.

I was in a school teaching kids all about smoothies but it seemed like the whole class was going wrong.  I didn't have pants on so  I wrapped a towel around my waist.  I was supposed to initial some stickers so the kids got credit for the class but  i didn't have time so I asked them to ask my boss to do it and a they couldn't find my boss even though I could see her while teaching the class.  I found my blender in the bathroom sink and it was still dirty but I used it anyway.  I had to get ingredients but when I came back t here was food in the blender that I didn't think the kids would like and that I don't eat either. I had a student come up for a sample and I could see that the smoothie was really lumpy and gross with big pieces of broccoli in it.  I woke up before either of us got to try it.

I dreampt my friends had a little bridge that was mostly made of 2x4s.  It wasn't very big and underneath instead of water there was straw.  I set the straw on fire which burned the bridge. I didn't stay to see how much damage was done. As soon as the straw caught fire I pulled up my hood and started walking downhill away from their house.  As I walked it got really dark but no matter where I went in the woods I could hear my friends talking about the bridge saying they couldn't get mad at the fire because it was natural like a storm.

I dreampt I packed clothes for work because I wanted to drive in my flip flops but when I got to work I realized I hadn't actually packed any other shoes. 

I dreampt my friend from another department who was now the security guard and she had a gun. 

I dreampt I went to a business but it was closed so I walked back to my car and as I did I got really sleepy and disoriented.  Eventually I began to crawl to my car and I kept narrowing missing things I didn't want to touch on the ground like poop. 

Cold Meds

I dreamt I hired a neighborhood boy to drive me around but one day while I was in the backseat he got out and sprayed the car with a really big water gun and I got wet. It was a little confusing since sometimes the car had windows but other times the car was a convertible with the top down. I couldn't go to work like that so I got really angry. The boy wouldn't drive me back to my house so he drove back to his house and he said his big sister was going to drive me. She was really mad at me and tried to explain that her little brother had been sick and somehow this explained his bad behavior. Then she drove me to an outdoor market and she was gong to just leave me there but she then chose to go shopping. I realized I didn't have any money or my phone. She let me use her cell phone but it was like an old Nokia and I had to type everything which seemed really hard in the dream. Also I couldn't remember anybody's phone numbers. I asked if I could call Uber and people at the shops for like you should try this new app it's just called Grr. Eventually my mom and her friend pick me up and drove me home what's weird is I spent most of the dream worried about having not walked Hubble and also that I was going to be late to work.

I dreampt a friend and I were shopping for a car with a manual transmission.

Also I stopped for coffee several times at different stores but it was always the same barista.

Later I had an oddly ominous dream about a friend walking in the rain.

I dreamt I was walking Hubbell in our apartment complex in Franklin.  We me a black and white dog that was running loose but had a collar.  The dogs tags had all sorts of weird information on them like disconnected phone numbers. It was hard to track down the owner.  The dog had first been registered in 1923 so we didn't think the owner was alive anymore. We took the dog to mom's house and she saw that the dog had a lump on its back near the tail.  We thought it was a tumor but when we touched it the lump disappeared and left a hole in the dog's back. You could look through the hole and see right down the to the floor as if the dog had no organs but you could see his bones. Then the dog turned into a puppy and friends from our running group came over to meet him.  I do remember taking the dog for a ride in my Oldsmobile around the neighborhood at mom's house.  Also when the dog turned into a puppy he wasn't black and white anymore he was just black and of course much smaller. In my dream it was like I knew that the dog was getting younger but I didn't believe it until he was totally a puppy. 

Found and Lost

I dreampt I went for a run with my dog on the bike path and we ended up in the next town but somehow we also got lost.  I saw people working outside and they said I could come in and use the phone. In their office I found a car like my dad's only it was a convertible and they said they were fixing it up for me.  One of the mechanics was a girl I knew in high school.

I dreampt I was watching and also in the show Stranger Things.  My little brother went missing when he went outside and I was too scared to watch the show but I also I knew I had to find my brother.  We went to the police station for help and the office was full of horses and a tiny donkey.  Everything took place at night.  I remember my brother had blonde curly hair but I never saw his face. In my dream we had a land line phone too.

We were on a road trip and we had to stop at a rest area with coin operated showers. Then it started to snow.  We were supposed to meet friends at a diner to eat but we stopped at a gas station instead.  It was very dark but we could see deer in the trees.  The driver kept adjusting tin foil that was on the car's sun shield.  The whole time we drove we never saw other people expect at the rest area.

I had the nutty dream that one of you crazies was like hey did you know you can race your car like a motorcycle. I said um no. A woman who kept morphing into other women got into my car and showed me that behind the steering wheel was handle bars with manual throttle and omg we jumped my poor car Dinah off a freeway embankment and it felt like we were falling forever and then when we landed the we were fine and so was the car. i remember laughing like a nut and then i woke up.

I had that totally bizarre dream again that I was taking something to my car while on the clock at work and I just didn't go back. I walked around in the historical building next door, someone fixed my phone and I got a foot massage. Later when I got home I started laundry and then thought about calling in. Then I woke up.
