Pack Your Bags

I dreampt I was at my grandmother‘s house in New Jersey, (which is weird because my grandmother is deceased and we don’t own the house in New Jersey anymore.) My grandmother said pack your things we’re going to Mongolia, but we took the house with us instead of just packing bags. When we got there, the house went from modern to made of stone. Also, some things inside the house were rearranged like the windows. In my room the window didn’t have a screen. This fact was important since the city we visited was having some kind of street fair so all these people from different countries and we were bartering with some of them through the open window.  My sister was a stilt Walker while we were there.  I also remember that there was another stone house next-door and the neighbor's dog was watching through the window while I was sleeping.  Also my mom was there but she didn't do any trading because she was on the phone while waiting for two checks to be delivered.

What's in the box?

I dreampt I was driving to a friend's house but I didn't have my GPS on so I drove through a farm field where I was chased by a cougar. Later I found out my friend and I were flying overseas but I hadn't packed. 

I dreampt people were squatting outside at my parent's house. i think they were using the internet.  we kept making them leave but they kept coming back.  Also, my dad was buying sod in these big white boxes and then hiding the empty boxes under the back porch which was really the deck at my house. 

I had a terrible dream I was in a class where the final was to compose a song with lyrics and then sing it in front of the class and it had to be at least a minute and a half long. It was absolutely terrifying but I did wake up before I had to sing.

I dreampt I inherited a furnished apartment in New York City. I think other families inherited similar units nearby in the buildings; some even on the same floor.  The area seemed very posh but the apartment was full of so much furniture and since I got the place from a family remember it was hard to get rid of anything because of the memories.  I found stashes of light bulbs and night lights all over the home. I took down all the heavy curtains and blinds so I could see the view of the city; after people protested I just yelled "it's not like I'm getting dressed out here."  People kept asking me if I played tennis and there was a huge organizer for tennis in the middle of the floor.  It was a tall black lattice structure that would hold all my rackets and clothing.  My uncle who put it together was going to show me how to take it apart and was helping me to tip it over when the dream ended. 

I dreampt I had to get to the university but navigating a roundabout that was over a set of train tracks. 

I dreamt I was at the library again and I had to plan summer reading.  Also, I was working with family at the desk.  I had to do a presentation but I only had shorts and sneakers to wear for it.

I had the most exciting dream that I was doing luge but on snowy streets at night, the track went through old buildings and down iced-over staircases. Pretty sure I sailed right through a construction site.

I dreampt I was in A Christmas Carol and I took Tiny Tim to a faith healer.

I dreampt I was laying on my stomach sunbathing by the pool and i woke up in my dream to find two alligators asleep with me one under each arm.

I dreampt I wanted to help refugee children but first, all I did was feed them cotton candy. Next, I packed my bags and went with them.

I dreampt I came home and there were squatters at my house. the left the fireplace lit and there was laundry in the dryer among other evidence.

i dreampt i was invited to a costume party but I didn't have anything to wear. My dad lent me his Barney the dinosaur costume but it was covered in taco stains.

I dreampt friends picked me up after school and we drove their pickup on increasingly bad roads; at times driving nearly on just two wheels. As the roads changed from dirt to cobbles the overhead got lower and lower. We eventually got to a castle where the truck fit in an elevator. We folded up the truck so it looked like a tray table and then took the tour of the castle.

I dreampt I was on a water ride/roller coaster with my boss and we had to keep getting out of/off of the ride and complete challenges.

Foundation

I was in a house with a garage underneath that you could access from either the front or the back of the home so it was like the house had an underground drive-thru.  In the garage, there were two black cats the size of martens who were fighting. It made me think of how Merlin saw dragons fighting under the foundation of King Arthur's castle in progress. (I read this in Mary Stewart's Merlin Trilogy) The fighting causes the structure to constantly fall down.  I worried about the house until I woke up.  

I dreampt I invented a filter for car windows that worked as a photo filter.  The filter used a search tool to look for images from the same year the car was made.  If you sat in the car the filter would put a glamor on you to update your appearance to a particular year so your clothes, hair, and makeup were historically accurate. For some reason, I didn't sell the technology but I just applied it to more and more vintage cars that I kept in my driveway.

a lot of really weird dreams about working in a children's museum as a musician, I had these Boomwacker sorts of percussive instruments and I wandered around the museum sort of making up tunes wherever I went. Also, I was sleeping on a couch at a press conference which was confusing because in the dream I was asleep on the couch but also watching myself on tv during the same event. At one point we were watching old VHS tapes and reading Far Side cartoons.

I dreamt I had one of those tall fake soda bottles people use as piggie banks but mine was full of coffee creamer but I still kept it in my bedroom and not the refrigerator.

I also dreamt I was renovating a van or mobile home or some kind of large vehicle that I was going to travel and live in. It was parked in the back of my house for the most part but it had those sliding bus doors and sometimes when I was working the doors would open and I would be in different places even though no one was driving. I was asked if the van was intended to fly and no that wasn't the plan but apparently it could beam itself places or time travel maybe?

I dreamt I was at a mall that had public showers but I didn't use them because I was looking for my lost cell phone

I dreamt that someone drove over the lawn at my mom's house, they went through the fence by the garage, down the hill, and then out the fence again at the bottom of the hill and then they drove away but we caught them because the car has a chrome decal the length of the car that said Reese's Pieces. also, dad was there and he's been dead for 10 years but in my dream, he was wearing jean shorts and we were cracking up about the whole weird situation.

I dreamt my sister was my next-door neighbor and our yards were connected so the dogs could come over but also the yard from fence to fence was covered with a canopy of umbrellas that looks like Chihuly's Persian Ceiling installation. 

I dreampt the tile wall in my shower had a horizontal crack in it that flexed in and out as if there was airflow behind the wall.  The wall stretched several times before it fell on me while I was bathing.

I dreampt I was riding my bike on rocks in the dark. I was wishing I had a mountain bike instead of what I was riding.  I got to an empty city and I found my way inside a house.  I could hear voices but sometimes where I heard them was where I had been but I could not get back. The doors seemed to lock and unlock at random. All of the windows were sealed.  Some of the doors where in places I could not reach like over staircases in the ceiling. I felt I was running from someone but I also thought the voices were not who I was running from.  I found a family of only children.  The oldest girl was taking care of everyone and their parents were gone.  The parents must have found a way out and not a way back in, or they left deliberately. Everyone was terrified of being separated in the house so we all went everywhere together. One night during a storm I was reading the children a story and there was a ghost of a woman on the outside of the window and we were scared she would come in and take the children.  Everyone ran and of course, things got mixed up with people on different floors of the house.  The house seemed to rearrange itself to keep us apart. When I looked out the windows I never saw people but sometimes I saw things change like one night a house would have Christmas lights up. I don't know how we all escaped but later in the dream, we were all in a field for some sort of festival and we had to climb these very tall trees to scare a mass of crows away. The field was covered in marshmallows and some of the kids stopped to eat them but the adults ran for the trees and climbed up with wasps nests on sticks to make the birds leave. From the top of the trees, we could see that one of the children in our family was eating the marshmallows.  When we looked back again she had disappeared.  The girl never appeared again and I don't know where she went. We reminisced about this later in the dream and years later in life on a phone call.  I was on the other end of the call with the oldest sister who was now married to a man who was helping raise her siblings and their children.  The house was decorated for fall with the banisters all done in garland and leaves.  As we talked the sister looked at a replica of the wasp nests used to scare the crows away.  She wondered where her little sister was and then I woke up.

Last night I dreamt my hands were covered in bees

I dreamt I was in prison with the students from my school and my job inside was working at a pharmacy or hospital, we spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to steal the drugs

I dreamt it was raining inside my office job and I had to sit at my desk under a golf umbrella

I dreamt I was in a game that was a mix of Farmville and World of Warcraft and you could kill people to steal their farms. I made a tree fall on a man while he was driving his tractor. also in the dream, I looked like Tom Cruise from the movie Far and Away.

I dreamt a drunk Superman was crawling down the sidewalk to the restaurant he owned now that he was retired. Inside there was a man who wanted to kill him but of course, Superman didn't care and insisted on eating a snack while the man threatened him. Superman dug around in the cooler eating pepperoni and other things until he fell asleep. He wasn't worried bout the mad man since no one could hurt him more than he'd already hurt himself.

I dreamt I left homemade cupcakes at the supermarket in some Tupperware and when I came back no one had eaten any so I just took them home again

I dreamt I was driving with my seat fully reclined and I navigated based on what I could see from the sunroof

I dreamt I was trying to make falafel and the kitchen was full of dogs I had never met before, also I couldn't find the feta cheese. And I couldn't find a place to lock up my bike and two men were barbecuing on my lawn.

Last night I dreamt about great horn owls, taking my dog to the vet, and a house with many garages that were hidden by transforming doors.

My dreams last night involved a lot of running, stairs, lockers, lock and clocks.

I dreamt I visited a high school and for some reason, I lied to them and told them that my high school was older than I wanted to tour of their high school. They were big holes in the walls but instead of going into the classrooms they were just big open spaces like black holes.

I know you aren’t supposed to interrupt a funeral procession that’s on the road but last night I dreamt I interrupted graduation. Fortunately, no one was hurt and it turns out I know how to drive my car up steps

Balance

I dreampt I was blowing my nose because I felt congested but with each blow another nose piercing would come out of my nostril. 

I dreampt I had to go to a funeral that was also at my job and I had to work at my job right up until the time of the funeral.  All the other staff had to set up the services so I was alone on a very busy desk and miserable because I was so busy and miserable because I had just lost someone. 

I was taking a shower in the closet in the guest room, all the contents had been removed so they wouldnt get wet but nothing was protecting the walls or wood floor.

I dreampt I was riding on the back of my father's motorcycle that was also amphibious and when we rode into a marsh I saw that the bike was being pulled but a very large rabbit.  We had to stop at a station at one point and get a new swimming rabbit.  As we biked we debated the height of some local hills.

I dreampt a tornado came straight down out of the sky and it hit the ground and the ground exploded and it was super fast but the explosion was in slow motion so you could see the concussion wave obliterate everything.

I dreampt I was driving on a narrow dirt road that was along a river and the road became even more narrow but I just kept driving.  The road was washed away and my car fell in the river.  Some water got in my car but the engine didn't die.  I was able to bob along until I found a low bank and I drove my car back up on the road like nothing had happened. 

Things I Saw In the Dark

Scattered dreams from last night included sunglasses, scaffolding, driving around car accidents and in parking garages. 

I dreampt about my family and we were all in our pjs and eating fruit late at night as if we had all just come home from work. 

I had a nightmare about a woman in a harness and she was over a bed of nails or knives and the man was raising her up and letting her fall toward the spikes over and over.  She was screaming and crying and he just kept tormenting her over and I over.  I don't know how it ended.  I saw her in an earlier dream where she seemed to be hiding but i think that was from before she was captured.  I saw her laying on her side in the fetal position amongst some wooden shelves. 

I was exploring a basement, it had two or three levels.  I started at the bottom but when I got to the top i found a topiary garden and i walked those paths for awhile.  in a corner i thought there was a pond but it was a leak and i got two people to tell them about the leak and the water seemed to come from a spigot but also the ceiling and a clock.  i was going to get a hose to siphon the water the man began to collect the buckets and take them outside through the glass door.  he and the woman talked about using this gutter grates from the basement to help channel the water and as they talked they forgot i was there event though i was the one who found the leak. 

I was jogging in the neighborhood but I got on a city bus.  I thought it would go up one stop and let me off but we drive for ages.  As I got off the bus I saw a library and remembered I was supposed to be at work at 4pm.  I didn't have my phone so I couldn't call in.  I went to a tourist information booth and used their courtesy phone.  The first time i called i saw all these names on the voicemail that were for people I didn't know.  I let the other staff member dial for me and when I got through they said I was already at work.  When I protested that I really was going ot be late they said well just don't come in then. 

I dreampt we were at a store like IKEA that also had Christmas trees.  We got a bunch of food at the buffet and we had a picnic in the dairy aisle.  We went to get a tree but when we came back someone had taken all of our food and somehow we didn't end up getting a tree.

I dreampt I lived in an apartment building without an elevator and someone on the top floor had planted trees on every landing of the stairwell.

I got my hair cut and they shaved one side but not the other and then wouldn't come back with my credit card when I paid. I broke into their apartment to get my card and I found all this felt board sets that they had never put away. 

My dad was carrying me on his back and we were on a metal corrugated gangway over dark, brackish water.  As we walked the water got closer and closer to the gangway. Soon the water was flush with the metal.  Quickly the path was hidden by the moving water and it looked like we were walking on the water.  Either the path disappeared or just a section was washed away.  We fell into the water. I drank in a lot of the water.  Eventually someone pulled me out but they did not save my dad.

I was at the gym and I was having a conversation with lady about religion and i thought she said she was a Nun but she said she was a Hun, which I think is an ethnic group and not a religion.  Then we had to move because the gym was having a church service. 

Long Way Home

I dreampt I was running in the neighborhood around my parents house.  It seemed like hours.  I wanted to run a half marathon so I kept going but I got slower and slower.  I wanted to get the miles in so I stopped doing loops and just headed out.  I somehow ended up in the next city but I was too tired to get home. I stopped at a train station but I didn't want to ride the train I just wanted directions.  I was going walk on the wooded bike path that ran along the train track but it was so dark and I worried my cell phone flashlight would run out. Then I thought about walking home on the train tracks but it was still so very dark.  I think I took an Uber and they dropped me off at a dog shelter.  It looked so familiar but when the people came outside I didn't know them.  they wanted to hug and I worried they were fake.  Like they were supposed to pretend to know me but they really didn't.  I don't know how or if I got home. 

I dreampt it was Halloween and I had all these people at my house that I didn't know.  I kept looking out the peephole of the front door but I didn't see any children yet.  I did see a lot of cars parked up and down the street.  When I looked outside again I saw people congregating in the street and in the intersection.  They were all adults.  When the doorbell first rang I saw an adult but no child so I didn't open the door.  Every time the doorbell rang there were more and more adults on the porch and soon they were all around the house.  No one spoke. 

A boy was in bed in his room and he had a phone with an app that showed where people were.  It was like a special gps for family members.  He told his mom that his dad was on the app and in the house but mom said no that can't be true because they were divorced and didn't live withe them.  She said she would go look but I somehow knew that she she would not come back because the dad was going to kill her.  I don't know what happened to the boy.

I remember dreaming about eating barbecue.  

I dreampt I made these hybrid hermit crab creatures and some of them I was really scared of and they kept getting bigger.  I knew I had to kill them to stay safe but I still loved them too.

I dreampt that my neighbor could see into my house.  They were looking in my bedroom window.  When I was dreaming they told me to wake up and see that I was being watched and when I woke up there was a rifle laser light on me.  I could see the light from the gun in the neighbor's window but nothing else.   I don't know how they were able to see me since it was dark and their window seemed to be covered. In the dream I feel asleep and woke up many times know that I was watched.  I don't know why I didn't cover the window or sleep in another room. For some reason I thought it would help if I slept with my back to the window, as if i could not be shot that way.

 I went for a drive in a car called a Oldsmobile Eclipse, it has been a huge car like a Cutlass Supreme but the top had been removed with a chain saw.  We drove around and ate a strangely soft gel candy that other little candies pressed inside. 

I dreampt about a young actress who went to a film set and she fell asleep with her top off and they just kept filming and didn't tell her about when she woke up.

I was in a school teaching kids all about smoothies but it seemed like the whole class was going wrong.  I didn't have pants on so  I wrapped a towel around my waist.  I was supposed to initial some stickers so the kids got credit for the class but  i didn't have time so I asked them to ask my boss to do it and a they couldn't find my boss even though I could see her while teaching the class.  I found my blender in the bathroom sink and it was still dirty but I used it anyway.  I had to get ingredients but when I came back t here was food in the blender that I didn't think the kids would like and that I don't eat either. I had a student come up for a sample and I could see that the smoothie was really lumpy and gross with big pieces of broccoli in it.  I woke up before either of us got to try it.

I was traveling with a friend by car and we were only taking the backroads.  We saw a really bike stop that was all fancy and modern.  There was a paved trail and a mounting biking trail.  The stop had a bathroom and a cantina or small general store with parts and food.  I promised we would come back but we kept driving through the woods.  Later we stopped at a tavern and I had to make dinner.  I had a bag of food and we worked out how much to make because we couldn't take the leftovers.  I think made something with beef and mushrooms.  I had everything on a plate and then had to go scouting for a skillet or pot.  Oddly the plate was older like pewter and sort of oblong and not round like most plates you see today.   I remember going back to driving it was all country roads.

I was at a house and I needed to use the restroom but the commode was in the master bedroom and there was someone in the room at the end of the hall and they could see me if I used the bathroom. 

I was trying to sleep a house and the bed was very high up.  The room didn't have good curtains and there was really too much light to sleep.  I remember the bed had a blanket on top that was light blue with clouds. The room had all sort of weird things in it that weren't mine.  On a ledge next to the door were two pairs of baby athletic shoes for soccer I think.  They weren't just there to be cute though I knew the child had played on a team as a toddler. The room also had a wire book stand next to the bed with a man's razor and other nick nacks that kept falling through the shelves. 

I was in an old school (turn of the century) and we were supposed to be reading from a class text book and also as many other books as we could but also at the same time.  There was a some goal to see who could read the most of each but you couldn't really do both. Also the books weren't in the classroom but on another floor so I had to keep walking back and forth.

I dreampt I was sleeping and that I couldn't wake up.  I knew I had to wake up because we lived in a haunted house and the presence in the basement was trying to keep me.  I kept telling myself to wake up but my mouth wouldn't move and the person in bed with me could not hear me.  I had an out of body experience where I could see me frozen in sleep.  I did finally wake up or was awakened and the other person didn't realize that I had been in danger at all.  We got up and I realized that the front porch lights didn't work, you could flip them on but they made a strange sound. Oddly the sound they made was like a whirr with the a clacking and it was like these noise makers we had outside to scare away the spirits or maybe just to warn that they were coming. I think we had some sort of sprinkler system that was also meant to keep spirits off the property. I knew not to go outside to change the lights at night time.  I knew I could only go outside during the day and then only then with someone to watch my back. Outside was full of spirits who both wanted us and feared our house at the same time.  The spirits wanted us to leave the house so they could have the thing in the basement.  We had to stay in the house to keep the thing safely away in the basement even though we were very scared of it and it could easily pull any one of is into a coma which was certain death. A spirit boy came to the house and asked for something we didn't have.  Someone at the house told me you have to give them just the right thing so they don't get angry but also so they don't come back.  I have him the bottoms of some green onions but I was told to tell the boy they were rampions. We went to the basement to get light bulbs, we had a tiny wooden shaft that was like an elevator but really small enough to be a dumb waiter and at times it felt like it would stop or that it would go too far down to be in the house anymore, lower like way down in the dirt where the presence was. 

Buildings

I dreampt about a lot of buildings.  I was walking around town climbing into old buildings and trying to guess what they were.  One of the buildings was a small one room church and it was missing a wall and also half filled with dirt so there was a giant mound of it in the center of the building.  I dreampt about a house with a garden in the backyard and also a big city with bridges over water. I dreampt we were on a driving tour like a safari but we had to leave and we couldn't figure out how to get to the exit so we drove places that we weren't supposed to. There was a building that I knew was a bar but the roof was curved so that the walls went up and then came back down on the other side so really there wasn't a roof.  It was more like an airplane hanger.  It wasn't very tall though so maybe it was a polebarn?  I know I had a drink while I was there and I met a friend from another job so I think is still too young to drink. 

I saw a house that was haunted, there were dead people under the house.  If you wanted to escape the house you had to put someone else under the house to take your place.  I saw a very stereotypical haunted movie girl with long, dark hair and a white dress and she was being dragged under the house but it seemed like the house was an illustration while the girl was real so it all seemed like the prologue to a movie with narration.  The girl had her hands up over her head and as she was pulled lower and lower her features started to disappear and like first her eyes went one at a time and I think they had Xs on instead like she was becoming a doll.  Then while she was sinking lower she was crying and the man who was escaping was yelling "who do you choose," because she could put someone else under the house as an offering instead.  The girl was really scared to make someone else go through this so she just stayed under the house. 

All Together Strange

I had a very strange overlapping sort of dream that kept coming back to the same house.  In part of the dream I had to change clothes but one of the bathrooms was in use and one of the bedrooms had a big puddle on the floor.  I found a bathroom to use in the house where there was a bridal salon attached but then the toilet broke and they blamed me when I all I did was put on a new outfit.  Then I went to work and we were hosting a viewing for someone who had died. We were running it like a party and I had a guest list.  The urn was on the front desk and it was huge, nearly two feet tall.  People came to the funeral with their dogs but then the dogs all got away so we had to find them. While chasing dogs I ran by the house from before and also out on the bike path.  I saw people trying to catch an injured cat and it turned out one of the dogs I had caught was really friendly.  Since the cat was badly hurt we imagined the cat would come out and lay down with the sweet dog just to get some rest. After all this I dreampt I took a nap but people kept coming upstairs to ask me things. Sometimes when I woke up I was in the dream house and others I was in my own house.  I didn't really wake up though I dreampt waking up too.  Later watched Big Bang Theory but the girl characters revealed that they had spies all over town who they could call to check in on the boys and they used them to get the boys to do the what they wanted like come home in time for dinner. Somewhere in the middle I dreampt I was a student at a Japanese high school and we had to go upstairs but each grade was on one floor.  This was labeled but not in a way that made sense to me.  After the meeting which was more like a business meeting we got to go home early but I couldn't figure out where the ground floor was.

I dreampt that people had little aliens in them like the Arquilian from the movie Men in Black.  Only in the movie the alien was in a robot and in my dream they were inside of people.  You had to cover your hair with conditioner and then stick your head to the operating table before they could start. Also they just had one doctor but lots of people who needed aliens to be implanted so the tables were in a circle and the doctor just ran around a lot. 

I dreampt my grandparents house had a toilet in the shower so you could use the shower faucet as the sink or you could use the toilet but you had to climb into the shower stall for any of it. I wanted to use the toilet but the water was on. Instead of knobs to adjust the water you had to push these buttons but they weren't labeled.  You had to push the buttons in a certain order to have different combinations of the taps on

Doll Baby

I dreampt I did storytime in the basement of my parents house.  The room was really full and a man told me that 88 people were there.  Every time I tried to sing a song the stereo would start to play.  A lady from another library was there helping me but she didn't know what was wrong.  Sometimes the song was in another language.  I remember specifically that we tried to sing The Green Grass Grew All Around and the Sleeping Bag Chant. Every time I turned to the stereo and back to the group there were fewer people but it also seemed like they were taking their seats with them.  At the beginning of the dream we faced the stairs but by the end we had all turned around had our backs to the stairs and the stereo was in a cabinet under the counter.  I could see all these power strips and I got so mad that the stereo was on that i just tried turning all the power strips off. I left one on because i thought it was the wireless for the library.  I know the other staff and I discussed calling a manager but the name we used was for someone that wasn't in IT but instead from cataloging so that didn't make a lot of sense. At one point I could see a doll changing the stereo and it was a ghost doll and she had been changing the songs, making them faster and choosing languages I don't know.  I don't know if the doll belong at the house since I had never seen it before.  I don't think any of the storytime kids brought the doll either.  I remember that the doll had brown almost black hair and not clothes. 

Late for dinner

I dreampt I was having friends over for dinner.  I was making mac and cheese but i had it in the drawer under the oven where the pans go so I don't know how it was getting cooked.   I found a hair in the dish so I went upstairs to sleep but a friend was in my bed watching tv. Somehow that day I ruined two pairs of shorts or really it was the same pair of shorts but I ruined them twice.  I think the inside of the house was the house I am in now but the outside of the house was decorated with large glass blocks that were hollow and each one had a miniature garden inside. 

I also dreampt I was hosting anime club at the library and my teens pretended to be cats and tore down all the paper streamers the room was decorated with.

Things I dreamed about last night - teen programs at the library, the television show Star Gate SG1, having house work done but the contractors were my library coworkers, changing my nose ring but using earrings so it always looked wrong.
